What's new?
The O'Neill Veterinary Clinic is now carrying microchips for pets. These microchips are a form of permanent identification for your pet, can't be lost or tampered with and are easily implanted under the skin (between the shoulder blades) through a needle in an awake or sedated pet. Can be used in dogs, cats and horses. As an introductory special, we are pleased to offer $5 off the cost of microchipping until the end of February.
We now have several at-home products available for small animal dental care. Our newest product is Feline Greenies (Ocean Fish or Chicken flavor)! Greenies have been around several years for dogs and are approved by the Veterinary Oral Health Council for plaque and tartar control. We also carry dental chews with chlorhexidene in them as well as flavored toothpastes.
In January 2006, Dr. Barb Cole attended the North American Veterinary Conference in Orlando, Florida. This five day conference was attended by over 5000 veterinarians and covered a wide range of topics in veterinary medicine.
In September, Dr. Bob Owens traveled to Athens, Georgia to participate in the AAACUP certification program for carcass ultrasound. In January 2006, Dr. Owens received his certification.
In August, the O'Neill Veterinary Clinic was pleased to have Dr. Barb Cole join the staff. Dr. Cole will be handling our small animal cases and has been able to expand the services that we offer for small animals, including small animal dental services.
